Worry And Stress-Reek of Arrogance.

Worry-Implies that we don't quite trust God. We Do not trust that God is big enough, powerful enough, or loving enough to take care of what is happening in our life.

Stress- Says that the things we are involved in are important enough to merit our impatience, our lack of grace toward others, or our tight grip of control.

Both of these behaviors reek of arrogance. We tend to forget we have been forgiven, that our lives here are brief, and in God's hands. In God's Strength, our problems are small, indeed! Life is about God, not me at all.

Keep helping me remember this Lord.

Godly Marriage..Worldly Marriage. Totally Different

While planning a wedding I realize something.... What am I doing to plan for my marriage? Yes I am praying. Yes I am reading God's Word. But am I really planning for it? I was convicted all day with that... How do I view Marriage? How does God view marriage? I want to see how the world views marriage and then do the total OPPOSITE of that. The world views marriage as such a trial basis.. "IF it does not work, that is ok.." The world has such a superficial idea of love and romance. Well today I questioned myself.. What is marriage to you Ginny... I do not know all the answers but I do know this.. I have many character flaws I have to work on. Relationships bring out your character flaws. How do you respond to it when it comes out..? Do you run? Do you follow your emotion instead of your mind? Relationships... What does God intend for them?
Once again I do not have all the answers. I do know that the Lord takes marriage VERY seriously. I do know that your ultimate relationship is with the Lord. I do know that the person you choose to marry is not always going to make you "happy", but it is not about happiness it is finding the mature love, the mature peace that only the LORD can fulfill. It is about helping each other to the Throne of Grace. It is about taking a daily walk, a daily renewal of your mind. The person you marry walks with you. Prays with you. Helps meet your needs but never becomes your God. There is only one God.
I love a man of God. But he is not my God. I love David Misner and I can not wait to marry him. I do not expect it to be perfect but I know that the Lord will be the Lord of our life. I know that one of us will out live the other and one of us will see Christ face to face sooner. So what does that mean? That means that no matter what human relationship you might have.. the one you need to be focused on first is your relationship with is CHRIST JESUS. He will ultimately fill you with love, joy, peace, all the character attributes that will bless a marriage.. not hinder one. So if you feel down or if you see your character flaws, use that as God working on molding you to be more Christ like. Always pray for Christian marriages.

I pray for all the Christian marriages around the world. I pray that you will keep them molded together and pray that YOUR Word will be the blueprint of their marriage.-IN Christ name.AMEN :) :)

I AM GETTING MARRIED!

Ok so its been almost 100 years since I have been on here. A lot has changed in my life in a few months. I am now ENGAGED to my best friend, to a wonderful man I have known for years. We are getting married very soon and I am praying that I will not let the wordly wedding things get me so wrapped up in it that I forget what it is really about. THE LORD and marrying the best man in the world. I am excited about the planning. David is helping like a champ. He has the best attitude about it and I do not even have to ask him before he is doing stuff or coming up with ideas. He is precious.

He Asked me by the Riverwalk in New Orleans. It was real, sweet, and perfect. The dinner was great, the weather was great, the outfits we had on were great :), the prayer was great, when I turned around and saw him on his knees the world stopped, when he said.."Ginny I love you so much, will you please marry me.." my knees became weak, we were in our own bubble and I knew I was about to say YES to my future hubby. When I said YES he jumped up and held me tight and then started crying. It was the sweetest moment in history! I forgot about the people and world around us. I was like a giddy school girl that just got a valentine card from her crush. Then I looked at my ring and was in complete AWE. That thing is so beautiful. So August 7th is the day David and I started our wedding journey and life together. The courting is over.. (kind of haha).. We are choosing each other and choosing to fight for the Lord daily together. We are better together than apart. It is not about anything but Christ. I am blessed. Thank you Lord.

I am thinking about starting a new blog about our wedding and will send a link on here if I do.

Keep us in your prayers.

Pressed but always Grateful

WOW I have felt pressed beyond limits lately... The enemy is storming the gates. My grandma passing away ( I will have a blog entry dedicated to her soon), getting a head cold, being exhausted, missing David, missing my family, feeling lonely, sad, down, being at the verge of tears every time an emotional song comes on.. I could go on and on. Throughout all the storms I have had these past couple of weeks, I have had many encouraging words, notes, letters from family and friends and David. The Lord has restored my soul daily by allowing me to study His word, pray to Him and have such amazing support from family and friends. His peace has flooded my heart and mind. His grace has sustained me. Joy has overcome me when I have been down. His love for me never fails me. He never fails me. I am encouraged to know I am not alone and I am encouraged that through hard times He is most visible. I am thankful for these past weeks because I will become more of who He wants me to be through it. He is molding me through each hard time and through each great time.

I am praying. I am having FAITH that the Lord will open a door for me.

On a positive note. I am excited about having a long weekend to relax with David. We are going to walk, play tennis, read, eat, have a lot of coffee, talk, plan, walk some more, lay out, swim, laugh.. just enjoy each other. Life is so short and I want to be around him as much as possible. I love how he loves me, I love how he loves The Lord before me. I love that we can learn from each other. I love that I do not have to worry about my spiritual growth because he will never hurt it or hinder it. The Lord is good and faithful. I am excited to see what the future holds. But until He opens up the avenues, I will live for today. THANK YOU God for TODAY. I praise you for what you have done for me, I praise you for what you have taken me from and through, I praise you for choosing me. I praise you for helping me and comforting me. To you be the Glory.

Tell Mama hey for me.. I miss her.

Galatians

Galatians.... I read some of it this morning. I have to say, it is a wonderful wonderful Book of the Bible. I also had a commentary on it by Dr Campbell. This is what he said about the introduction of the book. It is true and intense. I love it.
The most significant truths in this epistle given by Paul by the Divine Revelation of the Risen Christ:

1. There is only ONE Gospel
2. Jesus Christ revealed this Gospel to the Apostle Paul
3. A person is justified through the faithfulness of Christ instead of the works of the Law
4. Believers are identified with the crucifixion of Christ
5. The promise of the Spirit is received through Faith
6. The Law was never able to give LIFE, It served only as "school teacher" to lead those under it to Christ
7.We are made sons of God through Faith in Jesus Christ
8. All believers are ONE in Christ
9. Believers are called to a position of freedom in Christ
10. There is a continuous struggle between the flesh and the Spirit
11 the Holy Spirit produces Fruit in believers
12. The only thing that counts is a new creature, not physical rites.

Are you seeing a pattern here? It is all about Christ and what He has done for YOU. It is not what "Ginny" can do for HIM to earn salvation. He did it all. Now you might say.. Well what about good works.. Remember, The bible does not contradict itself. If one verse says.. "You must enter into good works.." and then you go to another verse and it says.."For by Grace are you saved through FAITH, and that is NOT of yourselves, it is the GIFT of God...NOT of works lest any man should boast.."Then you must look at those and see the difference. You must see who the Lord is talking to, what time, the context of it, etc. You must search the Scriptures yourself and see the Things That Differ.
We enter into Good works by the love of God and the Grace of God... but we are not saved by good works. For we are made WHOLE ONLY IN CHRIST JESUS. He is our hope, our stronghold, our anchor. He is our SAVIOR. Think about it. Search the Scriptures yourself. Do not take my word for it. Take the Lord's word for it.

Like my dad said Sunday morning.. " Our identity on earth is not our job position, our money, etc.. our identity is Christ. That is your PURPOSE.. It is HIS doing.." Rejoice in His Mercy. For His love is above all.

I hope everyone has a great day. I am praying for David, My family, His family, my Friends, Job situations, and to grow in Christ.

I love the Lord, I love life, I love my family, friends, My BF :).. One day at a time.

Keep A good Attitude, Stay Positive, and do your best..

All in God

I am really into vintage bottles, vintage milk glass and chairs right now. How lovely are the images above. They would be fun in a wedding, home decor, or anything. I am about to purchase them :)
I am wanting to go antiquing soon so if anyone wants to join.. let me know.

One thing I want to say is..God is good.
I have been learning alot lately by His grace. I am learning to be still, learning to wait, learning to live a day at a time until His hands give me a push. Some days I am just up up up.. And some days I am confused (not about God,things in life), and an over analyzer.. One thing I can rely on is God and His Word. I have been praying alot more lately about specific things. Prayer is so important. There is alot going on in the nature world right now.. Oil Spill, tornados, and the flooding in Nashville. But still no matter what we have hope. I pray for everyone in that drama and pray the Lord will shine in the hearts of people affected in those areas. Have Faith. Draw close to Christ. Never Stop.

Keep Praying.
